I believe we live in 4 perceivable dimensions. The 3 dimensions of space plus time. I also believe the revealed Word of God is 4 dimensional as well. Notice I used the words perceivable and revealed. That is important, because in the mystery of God and his creation there are probably around 10 dimensions.
The secret [things belong] unto the LORD our God: but those [things which are] revealed [belong] unto us and to our children for ever, that [we] may do all the words of this law. (Deut 29:29)
If you ponder God’s word in that light, you might find some parallels in God’s Word of four dimensions since He is speaking to us. For me it fun to do these types of things, because it makes God’s word more personal.
Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me. (John 14:6)
- The Way
- The Truth
- The Life
That is the three dimensions that relate to us personally, which makes sense since we ourselves are three dimensional. But what could we parallel the 4th dimension with? Time is the fourth dimension for us so I would think a good parallel for fourth dimension would be in like kind.
1 Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. 2 For by it the elders obtained a good report. (Heb 11:1-2)
6 But without faith [it is] impossible to please [him]: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and [that] he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him. (Heb 11:6)
I believe there are many beneficial ways to approach the Word of God, but the most practical approach is with the understanding that the Word of God was written God for us.
- The Way
- To walk with Him and obey Him.
- The Truth
- To know and understand Him
- The Life
- To love and fellowship with Him.
- Faith
- To believe and trust Him.
All scripture [is] given by inspiration of God, and [is] profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: (2Tim 3:16)
By the way did you notice the four dimensions of in that verse ?
